A Data Analyst develops computer programs to analyze large customer information databases for companies and organizations.  Analyzes data to identify patterns and provide information relevant to a particular business, industry or field; analysis may be used for marketing, or to detect fraud in financial transactions, or for research. A data dictionary, or metadata repository, as defined in the IBM Dictionary of Computing, is a "centralized repository of information about data such as meaning, relationships to other data, origin, usage, and format". Oracle defines it as a collection of tables with metadata. The term can have one of several closely related meanings pertaining to databases and database management systems (DBMS):A document describing a database or collection of databases

Data Dictionary

Data cleansing or data cleaning is the process of detecting and correcting corrupt or inaccurate records from a record set, table, or database and refers to identifying incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate or irrelevant parts of the data and then replacing, modifying, or deleting the dirty or coarse data. Data cleansing may be performed interactively with data wrangling tools, or as batch processing through scripting.
